JOB DESCRIPTION

SUMMARY

Manage inbound, outbound and
internal movement and storage of product to meet customer requirements
according to SQF Level Compliance.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support Production
  • Unloads and verifies inbound
    deliveries of materials. Stores in proper locations within the warehouse.
  • Identifies and stages all ingredients
    required for production in advance of each shift. Notifies Production
    Manager of any shortages in advance of shift start.
  • Loads and verifies outbound
    deliveries of finished product.
  • Maintain first in – first out
    inventory rotation.
  • Cleans (to maintain USDA compliance
    & SQF Level Compliance) and organizes warehouse daily. Disposes all
    discarded packaging and damaged items.
  • Maintains proper segregation of
    allergen items as required by QA and SQF.
  • Maintains warehouse and equipment,
    including forklifts, in good working condition.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Good general math skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong team skills (the ability to
    develop a successful team).
  • Ability to read/write/speak English.
EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE
  • High School/equivalent.
  • 2 years of warehouse experience
  • 2 years forklift experience
  • Food industry experience is a plus.
  • RF system (handheld scanners)
    experience
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations.
  • Forklift certified.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ WORK ENVIRONMENT

Employee should be able to:

  • Lift up to 90 lbs.
  • Work standing or walking for long
    periods of time.
  • Work in wet, cold refrigerated and
    frozen conditions.

 

Job Type: 

M-F 3 pm-midnight (Occasional closing (1-2am) and Occasional Saturday)

$22.00 – $25.00 / hr + benefits based on experience and qualifications.

Job description

SUMMARY

To repair and maintain machinery, equipment, building and office facilities.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ensures that all the equipment is ready prior to production.
  • Provides rapid response when equipment malfunctions or breaks down.
  • Understands and adheres to the lock out/tag out program.
  • Ensures that preventive maintenance is on schedule and provides timely updates to the Maintenance Manager.
  • Assists Maintenance Manager in coaching and training production personnel on equipment operations
  • Checks and repairs all lights in the building.
  • Inspects operating machines, equipment and systems for conformance with operational standards.
  • Resolves maintenance problems by conferring with Maintenance Manager, production and QA personnel.
  • Protects employees and visitors by maintaining a safe and clean environment
  • Ensures that productivity, quality and safety are everyday practice within SQF Level Compliance guidelines.

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE
  • High School/equivalent; two years of maintenance experience in the food industry and some knowledge of USDA and OSHA regulations.
  • College/vocational degree preferred.

  • Experience with packaging equipment, conveying systems, etc.
  • Some experience with servo motors, VFD’s and other electronics is a plus

Job description

SUMMARY

Assist and provide full support to the Production Manager to establish the efficient operation of the line in accordance to the schedule, manpower, Quality Assurance, USDA, SQF Level compliance and safety requirements.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsible for producing a quality product that meets all the Safety, USDA, QA, SQF Level compliance and Customer regulations.
  • Continuously strives to develop production improvements that increase labor efficiency and work flow for all workers on the line without affecting required quality or safety standards.
  • Setup production line equipment and coordinate product changeovers.
  • Ensures that all reports and documentation are correct and timely.
  • Verifies that all employees’ hours and names are correct, without exceeding the permitted hours.
  • Verifies that the ingredients and usage corresponding to a product are correct.
  • Assigns personnel in accordance to their capacity, ability and effort to perform their assigned jobs.
  • Disciplines any worker that does not comply with or respect the company rules or performs at an unacceptable level.
  • Stand in for SQF Food Safety and Quality Authority
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Good communications skills, solid interpersonal skills.
  • Hard working and dependable.
  • Large scale Frozen Foods manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Work with minimal supervision and demonstrate self-control under stressful circumstances.
  • Safety conscious and bilingual, English/Spanish preferred.
  • Knowledgeable on lean manufacturing principles is a plus
  • Attention to detail and Process improvement.
  • Good Basic Math skills
  • Self-starter.
EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE

College degree or 2 years food manufacturing experience.

Knowledgeable on USDA and OSHA regulations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ WORK ENVIRONMENT

Monday thru Friday with some Saturdays as needed (typical shift runs from 5:45 a.m. to 3:30-4 p.m.)

Employee should be able to:

  • Lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Work standing or walking for long periods of time.

Front line supervisor (80% of time on and around production floors, 20% office/clerical/paperwork)

  • Work bending and squatting.
  • Work making fast and repetitive hand motions.
  • Work in wet, cold refrigerated and frozen conditions.
  • Food production atmosphere.
